Pizza Margherita (Italy)

Pizza Margherita

Ingredients: 500g pizza dough, 400g canned San Marzano tomatoes, 250g mozzarella cheese, Fresh basil, Extra virgin olive oil, Salt.

Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 250°C (482°F).
2. Stretch the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired shape.
3. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
4. Tear the mozzarella into pieces and distribute evenly on top.
5. Add a few fresh basil leaves and drizzle olive oil.
6. Bake in the oven for 7-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

Sushi (Japan)

Sushi

Ingredients: 2 cups sushi rice, 2 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 4 sheets nori (seaweed), Fresh fish (salmon, tuna), 1 cucumber, Soy sauce, Wasabi.

Steps:
1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear. Cook rice as per the package instructions.
2. While rice is cooking, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a bowl and stir until dissolved.
3. Once rice is cooked, mix the vinegar mixture with the rice and allow to cool.
4. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat.
5. Spread a thin layer of rice on the nori, leaving a small gap at the top.
6. Add slices of fish, cucumber, or your favorite fillings.
7. Roll the sushi tightly, using the mat to help.
8. Slice into 6-8 pieces and serve with soy sauce and wasabi.

Tacos (Mexico)

Ingredients: 8 small corn tortillas, 500g grilled chicken or beef, 1 cup chopped onions, 1 cup cilantro, 1 lime, Salsa, Guacamole.

Steps:
1. Grill the chicken or beef and cut into small pieces.
2. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side.
3. Assemble the tacos by placing grilled meat on each tortilla.
4. Top with chopped onions, cilantro, a squeeze of lime, and salsa.
5. Serve with a side of guacamole and enjoy.

Biryani (India)

Ingredients: 500g basmati rice, 500g chicken, 1 large onion, 2 tomatoes, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 tsp turmeric, 2 tsp garam masala, 2 tbsp ghee, Fresh coriander.

Steps:
1. Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.
2. In a pot, cook chicken with ginger-garlic paste, onions, tomatoes, and spices.
3. Once the chicken is cooked, add yogurt and simmer.
4. In a separate pan, fry onions in ghee until golden.
5. Layer the cooked rice over the chicken and sprinkle fried onions and fresh coriander.
6. Steam the biryani on low heat for 20-30 minutes.

Ratatouille (France)

Ingredients: 1 eggplant, 2 zucchini, 1 bell pepper, 4 tomatoes, 1 onion, 2 cloves garlic, Olive oil, Salt, Fresh thyme.

Steps:
1. Slice all the vegetables into even rounds.
2. In a large pan, sauté onions and garlic in olive oil.
3. Add the eggplant, zucchini, bell pepper, and tomatoes in layers.
4. Season with salt and thyme.
5. Cover and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are tender.

Kung Pao Chicken (China)

Ingredients: 500g chicken breast, 1/4 cup peanuts, 2 dried chili peppers, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 2 cloves garlic, 1 onion.

Steps:
1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and coat with cornstarch.
2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken until golden.
3. In the same pan, stir-fry the garlic, onion, and dried chili peppers.
4. Add peanuts, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar, then add the chicken back.
5. Stir-fry for a couple of minutes and serve hot.
